With almost 20 years working in casting (both in LA & Toronto) and over 15 years as a Commercial Session Director, Ava has built up a lifetime supply of contacts and experiences in the world of Commercials.
She has been part of THOUSANDS of auditions and callbacks and has pretty much seen it all. Ava knows what separates an “Auditioner” from a “Booker” and how to help you establish an exciting and lucrative career as a Commercial Actor.
Ava began sharing her knowledge with up and coming actors teaching a monthly Commercial Auditioning Workshop for the SAG-Conservatory in 2017 and appeared as an Industry Speaker at classes and panels across Los Angeles. After a few years, she began teaching her own highly praised, comprehensive 6-week Commercial Booking Class at Southpaw Studios.
After Covid, the casting world needed to discover a whole new approach to commercial auditions. Ava was involved in the new casting landscape throughout the pandemic and revamped her coaching to incorporate the new challenges Actors were facing. She also began teaching Audition Technique at Keep It Real Acting Studios, which she continues to do to this day.
In 2023, Ava took all her casting knowelege and came up with the most comprehensive way she could think of to help actors. She founded The Commercial Club. A one-of-its kind membership designed for working actors - providing On Demand Audition Coaching, Career Coaching, Industry Expert Events and other services needed to strengthen an actors training and community.
